Alpha is a foundations of faith class and will be a commitment for students and parents. There is weekly homework, a midterm, and a final test. Alpha will meet Sunday mornings during 1st service from 8:30-9:45 AM. We will meet in the Classroom behind the sanctuary.

Each student is allowed 3-excused absences. Students who miss a lesson will need to make up the lesson at a later date.

Alpha graduation is March 21st, 2026, during the Sunday morning service.

1.  I understand the importance of learning the fundamentals of my faith, which will assist in my developing into a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  With that in mind, I agree to actively participate in Alpha.

2.  I realize that to participate I must attend class.  I understand that I am allowed 3-excused absence (illness, vacation, family emergency).  Pastor Ben must approve any exceptions and I will make up any missed classes or work.

3.  I understand that any unexcused absences will result in a meeting with Pastor Ben and my parents to determine if I will continue with Alpha.  A specific course of action will be determined from this meeting.

4.  I understand that this course is a class and I will be graded on my work. The grading breakdown: homework (50%), mid-term (20%), and a final test (30%). I must receive a passing grade of 60% or greater to participate in the graduation ceremony and receive an Alpha certificate.

5.  I understand that this course involves a student manual, which is based on the truth of God’s Word, therefore, I will bring my manual and Bible to class with me each week.  Losing my manual will result in having to pay for a new one.

I agree to follow the above stated rules.

1.  As a parent/guardian of the above student I will actively participate in the Alpha process by providing the following: transportation, a place to study, help with course work and payment of $40. If the student manual is lost, I will pay a $20 replacement fee.

2. I have reviewed the above student and parent sections and I understand and agree to do my best to hold my child accountable to them. 

3.  I will abide by and support the decisions of Pastor Ben if any of the above guidelines are not met.
